(Correspondent: Chu Lili) The “Southern Surveying and Mapping Cup” 10thNational College Surveying and Mapping Lecture Competition of Professional Young Teachers was held from July 26thto 28th. Four young teachers selected by the School of Surveying and Mapping played an outstanding role in this competition, winning 2 special prizes, 1 first prize and 1 second prize.
Guo Fei won the “GNSS Principles and Applications” course special prize, Zhang Di won the “Measuring” course special prize, Zhang Bao won the “Error Theory and Measurement Adjustment Basis” course first prize, Yuan Qiangqiang won the “Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing” course second prize.
The competition was organized by the Teaching Guidance Committee of the Surveying and Mapping ofInstitution of Higher Learning of the Ministry of Education, the Education Working Committee of the China Society of Surveying and Mapping, and the Education and Development Committee of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association, and co-organized by the Guangzhou South Survey Technology Co., Ltd. Academician Li Jiancheng, the director of the Teaching Guidance Committee of the Surveying and Mapping ofInstitution of Higher Learning of the Ministry of Education and the Vice President of Wuhan University attended the event.
The competition set up four courses: “Error Theory and Measurement Adjustment Basis”, “Measuring”, “GNSS Principles and Applications” and “Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing”. 144 young teachers from 72 colleges and universities across the country participated in the competition. The competition took the form of group preliminaries and finals, and finally awarded 15 special prizes, 29 first prizes and 58 second prizes.
It is reported that the lectures competition for young teachers of the surveying and mapping major of national colleges and universities is an important measure to train and construct the faculty of surveying and mapping. This biennial competition aims to build a platform for young teachers to have self-presentation and learning exchanges, and to make young teachers passionate about surveying and mapping teaching and constantly improve their teaching skills.
