Implementing the spirit and requirements of the school about the activity of “Great Discussion on Reformation of the Undergraduate Education”, the Student Affairs Department has held lots of subjective meetings to listen to opinions and suggestions from various sides, and been promoting the document drafting according to the time nodes, based on the requirements of the school about drafting “Opinion on constructing education and instruction service system focused on students”. The detailed progress is reported as following:

1. In the afternoon of April 21, Xu Dongxing, secretary of the Student Affairs Department held a working meeting of secretary, inquiring in detail about the information of the symposium of “Great Discussion on reformation of the undergraduate education” of Wuhan University on April 19, and organized a discussion about the new titles. After reporting and discussing for over an hour, the Student Affairs Department decided to reformulate the writing plan and outline, and specified Li Tianliang, the director of Ideological and Political Office of the Student Affairs Department, to conduct the actual writing.

2. In the morning of April 24, the secretary Xu Dongxing called together Li Qin, the vice- secretary and Li Tianliang, the director of Ideological and Political Office of the Student Affairs Department again to communicate and instruct in terms of the framework of the document and raising new highlights of reformation. They discussed and researched in detail about the significance, goal and thinking, basic principle, as well as specific content and organization guarantee of the education and instruction service system focused on students, striving for emphasizing new measures and highlights of the reformation from an overall perspective of the school.

3. On April 29, the “Opinion on constructing education and instruction service system focused on students (consultative draft)”drafted by the Student Affairs Department is completed finally, and has been delivered to relevant departments and leaders to solicit opinions from all sides.
