Introduction to the course electric circuit

    Po, Hu is a PhD supervisor in School of Electrical Engineering, Wuhan University, Hubei, China. Currently, his research interests include power system analysis and control and new energy resources. He has been awarded outstanding teacher of Wuhan University in 2014.He teaches electric circuit, signals and systems in English, also automatic control principle, theory of electric network and many other related professional courses.

This course include analysis of resistor circuits, sinusoidal steady-state and transient analysis of dynamic circuits as the main body of the linear circuit.It systematically introduces the fundamental analysis of the basic circuit theory and circuits. Also it organically integrates the basic contents of the theory of electric circuits and classical and modern contents and views in proper matching in order to combine fundamental, modernity and scientific as a whole.


    Broad caliber, thick foundation, attaching importance to concept, content, approach and mathematical physics are organically penetrated in this course, meeting the knowledge which students majored in strong, or weak electricity need. It follows the principle of building independent and complete knowledge system of basis technology and expertise of engineering and electronics. Students will master organic connection between the theory of electric circuits and actual circuit.


    Whats more, it relates the recent development and research results in electrical engineering and classical theory of circuits organically, fuses fundamental content, research and leading thinking, ways and outcome dynamically.


    It introduces education reform and teaching research results into teaching, making the theory of electronic circuits, experiment teaching, high education and the development of the electrical technology develop synchronously. In addition, the undergraduates will flexibly master the basic theory of electric circuits, analysis computing methods, the ability to practical experiment and computer simulation by learning the circuit curriculum in English. And it helps cultivate abstract thinking, the ability of combining theory and engineering practice and  experimental research, broaden views of knowledge and many other related academic capacity.


    Teaching electric circuits in English needs to adapt to more demanding for a great number of high-quality, internationalized, and versatile personnel. This course enriches the curriculum system, broadens the undergraduates' internalization visions, cultivates their international competitiveness and abilities of practical work and innovation to make sure that they become high-quality and internationalized personnel with deep basis, high practical ability, strong sustainable development and innovation via introducing the preceding application of theory of circuits in electrical engineering.
